Len joined the COVE team in 2018 and works with the team in developing curriculum for the Visual Literacy modules as well as facilitating many of the workshops.
Len began his career teaching English at St. John’s Jesuit—when it was simply St. John’s. In 1992, he took a sabbatical and completed a year of volunteer service running a homeless shelter in Hazard, Kentucky as well as establishing a food pantry in cooperation with the Salvation Army at Hazard-Perry County Community Ministries.
When he returned to St. John’s Jesuit, he became the Principal for discipline and attendance. In 1999, he left St. John’s and joined Root Inc. Over the next 19 years, he worked with manufacturing, healthcare and financial services clients on a variety of topics from safety to strategy to financial acumen. During his last six years, he was the Managing Director for Strategic Partnerships and supported third-party vendors in the sale of Root products to their clients.
He and his wife both quit their jobs in August of 2017 to open their own business, Oasis Senior Advisors, a free service to seniors and their families as they help them find in-home care, assisted living, independent living and/or memory care.
He is a native of Toledo, growing up on Cheltenham and graduating from Central Catholic. He holds a BE, MA and ME from the University of Toledo.
