Seeing Safety with Visual Literacy

This two-hour virtual workshop examines why we don’t see the hazards that are right in front of us and how they become part of the background. Participants will understand:

• What visual literacy is and why it matters to each of us
• How the brain controls what we see and why
• How simple tools can be utilized to improve our ability to see hazards
• How companies are applying these tools to improve hazard recognition
• How we can improve our ability to communicate what we see

Improving our safety performance requires proactive identification and mitigation of the hazards around us. We can’t improve what we can’t see, and visual literacy is key to our success.
